Hi Janine,
Transfer America is a legitimate company. They arrange for their company to purchase timeshares, thus ending the continuing liability for common area charges. Unlike a conventional sale, though, you pay them a fee to take ownership of the unit. This seems counter intuitive, but as you probably know, there's no secondary market for timeshares and therefore there are few alternatives other than continuing to pay.
The company has an A rating with the BBB in LA and is an Accredited Business. They have received no complaints against them. You can access their report above by clicking on 'View BBB report'.

Any company that is in good standing in regards their record with the BBB and their client history can be accredited. By saying the company has an "A" with the BBB and has no complaints shouldn't be a cause for concern. The BBB is one of the most integrity driven companies around, hence why they are looked at as an authority.

Erin knows what she is talking about, www.Sunbiz.org is the first place I pull up for finding out who is behind a random Florida resale company. You'd be surprised what you can find in Google these days once you have that information.
