Leaving ship like a rat over the side of the boat.......

I have been with Altura for more than 40 years......since it was the Teacher's credit Union. They used to be wonderful and now I'm just an account number. I have purchased cars through them and have multiple 6 figure savings accounts with them. They do not wire international money so I have to go to another bank. I have overdraft protection but when 6 checks bounced because I was traveling internationally they sent me a letter that I had committed a "federal offense" - I was livid and tried to speak with the manager - I got the front clerk and she said "sorry" and set me up with a text to let me know if my checking gets low. I tried to buy a car through their car buyer service 2 years ago and all she was looking for was commission - I found lower prices and better deals on my own. Their drive through is set up for giant SUVs so whenever I drive through I have to get out of my sports car and stand their like a dork to make my transactions. I submitted a request for new printed checks through the terminal and never heard from them (this is something I've done for decades). When I finally ran out of checks I went in to the bank and their response was "you shouldn't have done that - our ATMs and drive throughs are serviced by another company and are outsourced." In this economy there are much better banks who will actually get off of their butts and work for your money. Customer service is far than some 19 y/o minimum wage kid wishing you a good day when you leave. I'm meeting with Bank of the West next week to transfer my accounts - so far, they seem to "get it"
