I have banked with Altura for the past 10 years and until recently I was satisfied with their service. In July of 2010 I made a large deposit and the teller deposited the funds into the wrong account. I discovered the mishap after I was charged NSF charges. I returned to the bank and the funds were placed in my account immediately. However, the bank would not reimbursement the NSF charges even though it was the banks error (shame on me for not checking the receipt). More recently, on January 31, 2011 I discovered multiple fraudulent charges on my account that were on a 2 day visa card hold. I went to the bank and requested the bank to not pay this fraudulent charges. Unfortunately, the bank refused and paid the international visa charges plus the bank charged a visa international service assessment charge per transaction. I hate this bank!!!!! I have to wait 7-10 days for a contingent refund and up to 30days for a complete transaction. BEWARE, Altura sucks!
