I worked at afv for 7 months and that shelter is ridiculous. It puts 50% animals down a day, yea we did get a lot in per day but we still have open kennels and there's no reason to kill them. And I never assisted with the euthanasia I just witnessed it a lot and its soooo cruel. idk how pita or other animal org's aren't doing to stop it. Its all Willa. She is the executive director of the place and she is the shott caller. She kills them throws them in a wheelbarrow ( we have to use the wheelbarrow to transport food and donations) and she puts them in the freezer, and some go in half alive cause they didn't get enough "juice" and the animals wont be there for more than 3-5 days until they get "juiced". Its sad and that's why I requested to have no part in it. I am an animal lover and by working there I got post traumatic stress disorder. Take my advice don't try to volunteer or work there and please, please, don't take your animals there. Over 80-90% get put down, even purebreds, and exotics.
