To being with I have had different accounts with several banks and the worst experience has been with Bank of America, not because of the corporation but because of the Encino, CA branch. I had to close my accounts with them because of their horrible customer service and constant rudeness and bad treatment I received from a lot of their staff most horribly by a teller by the name of "Ednarita." She has to be one of the rudest people in the customer service industry. Does Bank of America not screen their employees ADEQUATELY before hiring them? With an increasing unemployment rate I am sure B of A could find better suited employees that would bring them more business and serve their customers instead of losing them. Now I am aware of the fact that I could simply just have gone to another branch, but why should I? This branch is two blocks away from my job and convenient as I work 60+ hours and do not have time to go into another branch most of the time. But even if I did have the time, I should not have to "find" a branch that will serve my banking needs adequately and politely! Most recently, I received a check from my insurance company made out to myself and the company financing my car, I was advised I needed to have an "endorsement guarantee" since the issuing bank of the check is Bank of America. Upon asking for a supervisor and being denied by this teller "Ednarita" she proceeded to turn me away without so much of an explanation and got upset when I asked her for more information. Disappointed with this experience, I shared it with my husband, colleagues and friends who work in the area and they have to closed their accounts because of this branch. I wish their corporation the best of luck but they should definitely look into this branch and improve the banking experience of their customers if they wish to keep them especially during these troubled times.
