Do yourself a favor and stay away from Florida Solar & Air. I was totally mislead from the start. When I called the city of Hollywood to ask about the time it was taking to approve the permits I was told FSA had not provided them with correct insurance and license information. I gave it some time and called back a week and a half later. Nothing changed. City still could mot move forward with the permits applied for. I called PACE funding. The PACE representative told me that FSA has correct license and insurance info on file with them. I felt very relieved and asked how we could give this info to the city of Hollywood so that my process could begin. The rep told me that would do me no good as they will not fund any FSA projects until an issue with a prior contract is resolved. I asked the rep when he expected this to occur and he told me that there is no way of knowing if or when FSA will resolve the issue. I asked the rep if he could find a contractor for me that could do the job. He told me he would do this and outlined the procedure he would use to insure that my project is completed. He canceled the contract with FSA and sent me State General Contractor (who contacted me promptly in 3 days time) and also Cross Atlantic Solar. State General installed the roof and Cross Atlantic put up quality solar panels and system for me.
FSA is now suing me for $19634.00 for breach of contract, when in fact, they could not do the job. Before you make a final decision do your homework and get a reputable company to do the work. I am now very happy with my solar and my roof.
